South West Feedback sought on Regional Telecommunications Review

Residents across the South West can have their say on local telecommunications issues, with a series of virtual consultations for the 2021 Regional Telecommunications Review now underway in response to COVID-19 border restrictions.

Federal Member for Forrest Nola Marino is encouraging people to join the South West consultation session which will be on Wednesday 1st September 4-5pm WST.

“If you can’t attend the virtual session you may want to provide a written submission to the Issues Paper by the end of September. It does not need to be long, but I want to make sure that we have feedback from the South West included in this national consultation,” Ms Marino said.

The virtual consultations are proving to be very popular, with strong attendance from local communities. These consultations have allowed the five-member Regional Telecommunications Independent Review Committee to hear firsthand how telecommunications services are being delivered and used in regional areas such as South West WA.

The Issues Paper is available on the RTIRC website – rtirc.gov.au
