New round of Building Better Regions Fund open to South West

– Applications now open for funding under the Building Better Regions Fund Round Two
– Two streams available: Infrastructure Projects and Community Investments
– Applications close on 19 December 2017

Member for Forrest Nola Marino is urging organisations to apply for Round Two of the Turnbull Government’s Building Better Regions Fund (BBRF), with applications now open for funding to support further job creation and economic growth in regional and rural Australia.

Mrs Marino said the South West had already benefitted from Round One, with over $3.8 million delivered toward two projects in the across the infrastructure stream, and $35,000 across two projects in the community investment stream.

“Round One has provided organisations such as the Shire of Capel with the ability to build Stage 4 of the Capel Civic Precinct and the City of Busselton towards the Busselton Foreshore Redevelopment,” Mrs Marino said.

“It is projects like this that will support local businesses and job creation, while also ensuring the needs of the community are met.”

“The fact BBRF has two streams – Infrastructure Projects and Community Investments – means communities have even more flexibility in developing proposals. With submissions closing on 19 December 2017 for both streams, I encourage all eligible organisations to get their application in”.
