Marino encourages applications for Science and Innovation Awards

Young South West agricultural scientists, researchers and innovators are being encouraged to submit their innovative agricultural research project ideas for a chance to receive a grant.

“We have a productive and progressive primary industry – I encourage young South West people to apply for the 2018 Science and Innovation Awards,” Member for Forrest Nola Marino said.

“The awards allow 18 to 35 year old innovators to undertake new and creative research to help agricultural industries to overcome problems and to realise their potential.

“It will help get an original project off the ground that’ll contribute to the ongoing success and sustainability of Australia’s agricultural, fisheries and forestry industries.

“South West young people have so much to add to our community and these awards recognise that in the innovative agricultural industry.

“Applications close Friday October 13 2pm WST.”

Up to $242,000 or $22,000 for each of the following industry categories is on offer.
