Marino delivers improved mobile coverage in South West

Member for Forrest Nola Marino said the South West has improved mobile coverage following the new mobile base station being switched on in Baudin, delivered under the Turnbull Government’s Mobile Black Spot Program.

The new mobile base station was completed by Telstra and is the latest of 19 sites across the South West to receive new or improved mobile coverage.

“This is great news for Baudin,” Mrs Marino said.

“It’s very important for locals, emergency services as well as commuters and heavy haulage in the area.

“I fought hard for the creation of the Mobile Black Spot Program over four years ago, and I’m pleased with the difference these new mobile base stations are making across the regions.”

Under the first two rounds of the program, a total of 765 new base stations will be delivered to address black spots in every state and territory.
