Marino calls for submissions to pesticides inquiry

Member for Forrest Nola Marino is encouraging people to make a submission into the Committee on Agriculture and Water’s inquiry into Pesticide and Veterinary Medicine Regulatory Reform.

Mrs Marino said the inquiry is based on the finding of the Australian National Audit Office audit report no 56 (2016-17): Pesticide and Veterinary Medicine Regulatory Reform.

“The audit found that the implantation of a range of legislation reforms which were designed to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority (APVMA) regulatory activities had been mixed,” Mrs Marino said.

“This inquiry allows people first-hand to have their say about the APVMA’s regulatory reform.”

Submissions can be made by uploading them to the Committee’s website before the close off date of February 28.
