Grants open for Young People in South West Agriculture

Investing in a future-ready agriculture, fisheries and forestry sector is the goal of the 2022 Science and Innovation Awards grant program, with applications now open.

Federal Member for Forrest, Nola Marino MP is inviting young innovators, researchers and scientists in agriculture, fisheries, and forestry sectors to submit a project.

“We’re looking for projects which tackle issues in innovative ways and encourage young people who are passionate about primary industry to apply for one of these grants. These grants will help young people to make a difference”.

“This is also about supporting young people passionate about agriculture and their projects to tackle things in new ways”.

The 12 industry categories include -Eggs and poultry, Red meat processing, Wool, Cotton, Biosecurity, Fisheries, Forestry, Viticulture, Grains and Horticulture.

Individual grants of up to $22,000 are available for young people aged 18-35 years, closing Friday 1 October 2021.
