FUNDING FOR MEAT EXPORTERS TO EXPLORE NEW OVERSEAS MARKETS

Meat and Livestock Australia (MLA) will use a $1.52 million Australian Government investment to explore market diversification opportunities within untapped segments of three export markets.

Federal Member for Forrest Nola Marino MP said, “This grant will help increase market expansion into new and emerging markets such as Thailand, Vietnam and Saudi Arabia.”

“The meat industry is prevalent throughout the South West and the whole of WA and it is important to work on improving trade flows for Australian beef, sheep meat and goatmeat to build new business opportunities in trade, retail and foodservice sectors.”

COVID-19 has led many markets to reassess and explore alternative export opportunities to improve Australia’s product spread and future-proof the industry.
