People of Brunswick now have access to fibre to the node (FTTN) nbn.
Member for Forrest Nola Marino said broadband is now available in Brunswick, with residents able to order their nbn service from a service provider immediately.
“The nbn will provide people and businesses in Brunswick with faster internet,” Mrs Marino said.
“The development of digital technologies has reduced business costs, changed how our children learn and created more ways to engage socially.”
Homes and businesses will be connected to the nbn using FTTN technology.
nbn will ensure that at least 90 per cent of the fixed-line footprint will have access to wholesale download speeds of 50 Mbps.
“I encourage people and businesses to make use of the new technology immediately.”
It typically takes a couple of weeks to connect up to the nbn after placing an order with a service provider, and all residents will require new in-home equipment that is compatible with the faster nbn service.
