All aboard new jetty train at fun unveiling

The new Busselton Jetty train launched last Friday, tearing through a banner on its debut in front of a big crowd at the interpretive centre.

Years of planning and work went into the development of the Stocker Preston Express, which is the the jetty’s first new train in 22 years. It is the first of its kind in Australia and was named after a partnership between Stocker Preston and Busselton Jetty Inc.

The electric train cost about $400,000, accommodates up to 90 people and is powered by solar panels.
