$800 million on offer for Manufacturing Projects

Manufacturers in the South West can now apply for a share of $800 million in funding for major job creating projects under the Federal Government’s $1.3 billion Modern Manufacturing Initiative.

Federal Member for Forrest Nola Marino MP said, “I encourage manufacturers in the south west to take this opportunity to help scale up local business and create more local jobs.”

The Modern Manufacturing Initiative is designed to support Australian manufacturers to build resilience, scale and become more competitive – all while creating the jobs and assisting business recover from COVID-19.

Funding of between $20 million and $200 million is available, covering up to 33 per cent of eligible project expenditure.

The Federal Government’s six National Manufacturing Priority areas funded within the Collaboration Stream are: medical products; clean energy and recycling; food and beverage; defence; space & resource technology and critical minerals processing.

Ms Marino said, “Please make sure your applications are lodged before September 9.”
