Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull will visit the South West this week to meet with emergency services volunteers and find out what is important to them.
Forrest MHR Nola Marino is hosting an event for emergency services volunteers at the Busselton City Council office tomorrow and said she was pleased to be bringing Mr Turnbull to the South West.
“The South West is a diverse region with enormous potential, and it’s great for Busselton to be hosting the Prime Minister,” she said.
Mr Turnbull said it was important that he got out into the communities, particularly those in regional areas, to find out about any concerns those who lived there had as well as to understand what they were driven by.
“The South West is an important region, not only for WA but for the country,” he said.
“It’s great to again be visiting the part of the country that Nola is such a tireless advocate for and I look forward to having the opportunity to speak directly with locals about the issues important to them.”
The event is strictly for emergency services volunteers from the South West.
