Marino secures funding for Capel multipurpose centre

Stage 4 of the Capel Civic Precinct will go ahead thanks to the Member for Forrest Nola Marino who secured over $2.36 million in funding for the project.

Mrs Marino said the funding from the Turnbull Government’s Building Better Regions Fund would make the project reality.

“The Capel Civic Precinct will be a lively hub for youth, leisure, recreation and other community activities for Capel,” Mrs Marino said.

“The multipurpose community centre includes a youth space, skate-able link, amphitheatre and a play space for people of all abilities.

“I’ve been fighting long and hard for this project and it’s so great to see it delivered.”

President of the Shire of Capel Cr Murray Scott said he was delighted to receive the fantastic news that Mrs Marino had secured $2.36m towards the Capel Civic Precinct.

“This will allow the Shire to complete its ambitious Capel redevelopment in the next two financial years and will allow for the construction of the Multi- Purpose Community Centre and Youth Space,” Cr Scott said.

“Thank you to Nola Marino for her ongoing support for this project as her strong representation has been pivotal in achieving this outcome.”
