Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull with the Member for Forrest Nola Marino announced the Liberal-led Government is providing $1.5 million towards the Busselton Foreshore Redevelopment while he was in Busselton today.
Mrs Marino, a staunch advocate for tourism in the South West, said the funding was through the Government’s Building Better Regions Fund.
“This funding will go towards the revitalisation of the Jetty Precinct, and the Busselton Foreshore Redevelopment, making the foreshore a world class waterfront destination,” Mrs Marino said.
“The Busselton Foreshore Redevelopment will support and encourage investment and other tourism activities that will foster economic growth.
“Busselton is one of the top tourist destinations in WA, and this redevelopment will enhance the city’s natural beauty.”
Mrs Marino said she was pleased to see community emergency service groups, service clubs, volunteers, and school children were able to meet and speak with the Prime Minister during his visit to Busselton.
“Many locals enjoyed meeting with the Prime Minister,” Mrs Marino said.
