People from all over Harvey showed their true colours in support of Harvey Primary School’s Colour Fun Run on February 24.
School P&C president Jon Adams said the fundraising event was a great success.
“The event was an awesome day,” Mr Adams said.
“Both Nola Marino and Robyn Clarke took part and actually cut the ribbon to start the day.”
Speaking just after the event, Mr Adams said the colour run had kick-started the association’s fundraising target to purchase equipment necessary for the school’s new technology subjects.
“We raised a whopping $4158.50 on the day and have the sponsorship money to come,” he said.
“I am hoping for over $7000 by the end – all of which is going to our digital technology project.” Mr Adams said businesses, community groups and individuals all pulled together to make the day a success.
“It’s unusual to find something where both parents and kids can muck around and be stupid together, this was perfect,” he said.
“The movie in the evening, Despicable Me 3, was a perfect ending to a great day, the weather was warm and the crowd was happy.”
The winner will be announced on Friday.
